Beef and Beach, Byron Bay is the exciting new offering to partner alongside the iconic long running Northern Rivers venue located in beautiful Lennox Head. Offering sensational steak and seafood in a relaxed atmosphere adorned with natural timbers, antique brass and polished concrete. Inspired by the classic New York Steakhouses of the 1950’s, low lit lighting and elegant textures create a sense of luxury and refinement.


With 2 balconies and an intimate dining area with the ability to cater for groups both large or small, Beef and Beach Byron Bay has something for everyone. Located in the fantastic new Mercato Complex nestled on Jonson St, this 5 Green Star Rated building is the first of its kind on the Northern Rivers and promises to set the standard for years to come.
Our concept is to buy the freshest best quality available, handle it simply and well, cook it as it should be cooked then serve it to you at the highest standard. At beef+beach you can indulge in a variety of seafood and meats. We offer a large menu with lots of choices, sharing is high on the agenda but not a must. Starters and Entrées are individual or share, great to begin your dining experience, mains that can be altered with a different garnish each time or the meats selected and served as share boards with each person choosing their own garnish which comes out plated. We grill most seafood, meats and steaks in our Josper which is a charcoal grill (check the Josper out below) enjoy the taste difference.

Our Food & Josper

Originating from Spain, Josper has been around for 80 years producing high quality charcoal fired char grill ovens. Using no electricity or gas, the charcoal heats the heavy steel oven up to 500 degrees celsius. This allows the large variety of meats on the menu to be sealed very fast & cooked for a shorter time keeping in all the moisture making the food super juicy, the rendering fats drip onto the charcoal creating delicious smoky flavours that permeate up into the meat. The flavour is a reminder of years past you can smell the timber aroma in the food.

Some of the most well-known chefs that use a Josper are Heston Blumenthal, Gordon Ramsey & Jamie Oliver. There are only a small amount of Jospers in Australia to date & two of them are here at the beef and beach Byron & Lennox, as you can see we are in good company may you enjoy the difference of our food cooked in the Josper…..Be sure to tell all of your friends about it!

Our cocktails have been carefully crafted to excite all the senses, inspired by the glory days of prohibition, whisk(e)y and bourbon take pride of place along with botanical gins and aged r(h)ums. Our passionate staff are eager to create the perfect accompaniment to your dining experience.

Premium spirits adorn the back bar with single malts, bourbons and rums from across the globe, local favourite Cape Byron Distillery as well as other Australian offerings such as Four Pillars and Starward.
