Beef & Beach Byron Bay

Beef & Beach Byron Bay!

Yes, you heard right, Beef + Beach Byron Bay is now open in the new Mercato complex Byron Bay!
We are so excited to announce that Beef + Beach Lennox Head has expanded! For the last few years we have been on the hunt for the perfect location to open the doors of a second restaurant.

Mercato Byron Bay is a lifestyle complex unlike any other in the Byron Shire, employing the latest in sustainable design and a sensuous mixture of sunlight, stone and timber. Located on Johnston Street, Mercato of Byron aims to become the first regional shopping complex with a Five Star Design.

The Beef + Beach Byron Bay has a prime location in the new complex, on the corner block looking down toward the beach end of Johnston St. It boasts two beautiful balcony areas as well as indoor dining and a modern-style cocktail bar. Open for Lunch and Dinner 7 days.

Byron Bay Champagne Club at Seven Mile

Join us for the very first ever Byron Bay Champagne Club event! We are thrilled to be teaming up with Champagne Jeeper for this inaugural and very special dinner.

Wine growers since the 18th century, the Maison Jeeper story truly began in 1949. It was then that Armand Goutorbe, son of Victor Goutorbe, on his return from the Second World War, decide to produce and sell his Champagne.

Armand Goutorbe christened his brand Champagne JEEPER, with an eye to making himself stand out from the many wine growers of the region also named Goutorbe, and in reference to the Jeep bestowed upon him by the local authorities to help him ascend the vineyard slopes with ease.

Byron Bay Champagne Club (BBCC) co-founder Remy Tancred (founder of Sample Food Events) is working closely with the Executive Chef of Seven Mile to create a sensational four course dinner to be matched to five of the ultra-premium champagnes produced in the Jeeper range. You will be hosted for this exquisite event by the other BBCC co-founder, and fabulous lady of wine, Jane Thomson (of The Fabulous Ladies Wine Society) and also by a soon to be announced representative direct from Champagne Jeeper!

Sydney Weekender were here!

The Sydney Weekender recently visited Lennox Head's restaurant. On September 17, they enjoyed a meal with us at beef+beach Lennox Head and showcased our restaurant on their TV Show. The show featured our Executive Chef, Lachlan Smith and Restaurant Owner/Manager, Troy Lister.

With beautiful beaches and stunning hinterland there’s heaps to see and do in the Northern Rivers region but Mel’s got a one-track mind and all she’s interested in is the food. She is checking out our restaurant in Lennox Head to settle her cravings...'

Mel Symons says, 'You've got to love a place that delivers on its promises, beef, beach and Lennox Head!'

Thanks so much for the visit! To see the show - click here.

HOTEL GOES SOLAR

Beef+Beach & Lennox Hotel goes solar

Beef+Beach and the Lennox Hotel have recently spent $39,000 installing solar panels on the rooftop of the iconic pub. The solar array is expected to produce 60,000-kilowatt hours of energy with an estimated minimum $9000 year in savings. Owner Greg Campbell said we decided to invest in solar as we believe in doing what we can for the environment and this seemed a simple decision. ‘With the majority of people in the area who are also our customers being environmentally aware it really just made sense,' he said. The solar array was installed by Lennox Head-based company Premium Solar Solutions. ‘The cost was $39,000 to supply and install the panels, but the return both environmental and financial is definitely there,” Mr Campbell said. ‘On a good day, the solar panels on the roof will power the whole of the Lennox Hotel all day.’ The hotel has also installed a new bottle crusher in-house, which crushes each bottle as it is fed into the machine. The crushed bottles require much fewer bins, which are collected by a private company to be recycled weekly. ‘We are continually looking at ways to implement best practice in our business,’ Mr Campbell said.
